Value Network Analysis (VNA) Projects

In a value network project we work with your project team to map and evaluate the target activity as a value network. This includes defining roles, interactions, and potential performance improvements. We help project leaders design and conduct team workshops focused on the VNA work. In addition we will provide support in developing visualizations, presentations, and data management strategies.

Projects are supported with the Value Network Insights™ application as the primary data gathering, analysis, and evaluation tool. The application is capable of visualizing,
analyzing, and reporting indicators for both value network and social network patterns.

We also can provide more classic approaches to organizational networks. The Value Network Insights™ application supports social network analysis (SNA) and organizational network analysis (ONA). Through surveys and other data sources we can make the “invisible” networks of expertise and knowledge sharing visible. Our project support tools include network survey instruments that interface seamlessly with our applications.

The value of improving knowledge flows between individuals and within communities of practice has been well demonstrated. Studies have shown that leadership candidates with strong social networks are more successful.

In the course of a value network project the following deliverables typically will be completed:

Identify key stakeholders, purpose statement, and desired objectives and outcomes.

Facilitate the project team in mapping value networks for both the “as is” situation and for strategic scenarios.

Provide a complete report of value network and structural indicators for each value network. Reports include 40 to 50 indicators and Executive Summary or Dashboard.

Complete a VNA for each network or phase and define baseline performance indicators.

Suggest optimization strategies for resourcing roles and improving interactions.

Provide a Collaborative Value Network Report in addition to the Standard Value Network Report. (Only possible if Participant data is provided.)

Help to plan and co-facilitate core team meetings and scenario workshops.

Support the project team in distilling insights, developing action plans, preparing visualizations and reports, and calibrating business results.
